Seymour Heights is a recently renovated Victorian house, rebuilt with class and elegance to embrace the stunning views of Woolacombe Beach in North Devon. Seymour Heights offers a modern, light & airy space located over 2 floors. The property boasts an open plan kitchen/dining room with amazing views of North Devon, so the brief was to find a product that showcased the view. The full height Schueco Panorama sliding doors offer an expansive view of Woolacombe, Croyde’s Baggy Point & Hartland in the distance. Not only did we manufacture and install this impressive, frameless sliding door but we also replaced all the other uPVC windows with slimline aluminium casements giving the property a touch of class and elegance to meet with its stunning surroundings.
Key Challenges
The glazing products needed to not only be functional for this property but also withstand the conditions of this very exposed coastal location. All aluminium elements were pre-anodised before the powder coating process to give more marine protection. The Schueco Panorama door also boasts top weather ratings, so it was an obvious choice for us.
The property felt very closed-in before the renovation works were carried out, so the Client wanted to incorporate as much of the outdoors into the space as possible. A frameless rooflight was designed and added to the property, bringing the light flooding in.
Overall, the property has a luxurious feel and the glazing products have only added to its appeal. Minimal framing has also made the most of the breath-taking view, bringing it into the Client’s home.
